내용 Promoting ‘Chungbuk’s Culinary Culture’ Through Local Restaurants -

Chungcheongbuk-do has published the 2026 restaurant guidebook “The Flavors of Chungbuk,” featuring provincially certified eateries including multi-generational establishments.

The book contains detailed descriptions of certified restaurants including their addresses, phone numbers, business hours, and days closed, accompanied by photos of their dishes. It also highlights region-specific tourist attraction recommendations and certified dining options categorized by travel itineraries, making it a useful resource for travelers visiting Chungbuk.

Additionally, it features past winners of the Chungcheongbuk-do Culinary Competition, which began in 1997, and awardees from the 2025 Food Culture Festa, illustrated with appetizing photos for added reading experience.

‣ Heritage Restaurants (63 establishments): Restaurants that have preserved and developed local culinary traditions across at least two generations and 25 years.

‣ Excellent Rice Restaurants (142 establishments): Designated for serving glossy and premium-textured rice prepared with high-quality grains grown in the Chungbuk region.

‣ Exemplary Sanitation Restaurants (82 establishments): Recognized for outstanding hygiene and sanitation management in food service operations.

The Flavors of Chungbuk includes a QR code for each restaurant to provide immediate access to additional information. The full content is also available on the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Government website (under Government News - Resources).

An official from Chungcheongbuk-do stated, “We hope The Flavors of Chungbuk guidebook will become a highly practical resource for visitors to experience the authentic culinary landscape of the region.”
