- Organic Tour with Goesan-gun! -
Chungcheongbuk-do announced that its project, Organic Tour with Goesan-gun, was selected for the 2021 industrial tourism project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and will receive KRW 150 million from the central government.
This project is designed to provide experience-based tourism content and programs to visitors in connection with local resources as well as industrial resources, such as local specialty industries, companies, and industrial facilities.
Out of the 17 local governments that applied for the project, the MCST selected Goesan-gun after evaluating specialty in industrial resources, collaboration between local government and companies, local contributions, and sustainability through the first documentation review and the second field review.
Chungcheongbuk-do’s Organic Tour with Goesan-gun promotes consumer-oriented experience industrial tourism in collaboration with Organic Maker Cooperative (President Kim Yeo-gyeong) in Goesan Naturaldream Park.
Moreover, it is a program which connects rural experience based on eco-friendly organic agricultural products with education, technical visits, experiences, healing programs, safe food and cultural spaces, and allows people to enjoy the theme of rural convergence industry in connection with ecotourism resources, such as the Sanmagi Yetgil Trail.
Director Im Bo-yeol of Tourism and Aviation Division said, “With this project, we will promote experience-based industrial tourism where anyone can experience eco-friendly organic food beyond a simple visit or tour, increase the public value of organic food in the post-COVID-19 era, and discover specialized tourism content in connection with various consumption industries.”
