내용 “Experience Chungbuk” Project Starts in Full Swing
- Participated by 62 households among 14 villages -

Chungcheongbuk-do will hold the “Experience Chungbuk” project for urban residents who wish to return to the farm to settle successfully from May in earnest.

Project participants will enjoy a vivid life experience in the farm village for three to five months by working, spending everyday life, and interacting with the residents.

Participants will learn well-filled life lessons through diverse village programs including farming technique training, agricultural jobs, community exploration, and associating with villagers.

Comfortable lodgings in the Farming Village as well as more than 15 training days monthly will be provided to the participants, in addition to the KRW 300 thousand grant for training fees.

Chungcheongbuk-do selected 14 villages as program target areas last February, recruited participants from each town in April, and operated the program with participants from 62 households starting from May.

Among 14 villages, seven villages were selected for the “farming experience,” including cultivation techniques of regional staple crops and how to use agricultural machines. Five villages provide overall support for “living in village” including agricultural understanding, interacting with residents, and exploring the town. Two villages are for the “project type,” supporting short-term participatory projects and giving action-packed programs for young people.

“The Experience Chungbuk Program presents fruitful experiences in green villages. By conducting various activities and getting to know villagers, participants will enjoy a peaceful settlement in the countryside,” said the head of Chungcheongbuk-do Agricultural Policy Bureau Jeong Gyeong-hwa. “We will try our best to support new villagers to settle in Chungcheongbuk-do.”
