  • Develop next-generation pharmaceutical industries on a global level and propel the country into the ranks of top seven leaders in biotechnology.
  • Promote new biotechnology drug industries and ICT convergence medical device industries.
  • Develop next-generation high speed train technologies and promote related industries.

Building of a world-class, super-regional industrial cluster of bioinformatics convergence industries

  • Transform Chungbuk into a land of the sun and life: Develop a global economic zone encompassing the biotechnology industries in BioValley and Asia Solar Valley (solar power modules and components).
  • Work toward the creation of a world-class research town (the High-Tech Medical Complex), a biotechnology complex (the Biomedical District), and an education, medicine, culture, tourism and biotechnology complex (the Research, Tourism and Business District), based on efforts for BioValley.
  • Build a world-class, super-regional industrial cluster of high-tech convergence industries by mutually connecting the IT industries of the Ochang Biotechnology Convergence District, the research and development functions of the Daedeok Research Complex, etc. based on the New IT Valley (semiconductor).
  • Contribute to the evolution of the country into an economic center of Northeast Asia by creating a mecca of high-tech convergence industries centering around the new engines of growth for the country.
