- CBFEZ to Support 240 Unemployed Youths with 2025 Youth Challenge Program -
The Chungbuk Free Economic Zone (head of CBFEZ Choi Bok-soo, hereinafter CBFEZ) is recruiting participants for the “Youth Challenge Support Project” to encourage unemployed youth to find employment and support them in entering the workforce. According to CBFEZ on March 20, CBFEZ was selected as the final winner of the “2025 Youth Challenge Support Project” competition hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and secured 1.03 billion won in government funding. The Youth Challenge Support Project provides a personalized employment support program of up to 25 weeks (200 hours) for youths aged 18 to 39 who have difficulty entering the workforce due to failure to find a job, prolonged career break, lack of confidence, etc. CBFEZ has been selected for the competition for three consecutive years from 2023 to this year. Last year, CBFEZ was included in the top seven out of 72 participating local governments nationwide for excellent achievements in vulnerable youth participation and job matching support. Choi Bok-soo, the newly appointed head of CBFEZ said that “We will do our best to help young people in the province who have given up on seeking job gain confidence and enter society this year as well, in line with the youth policy of the eighth term of the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office.” |
