내용 CBfez promotes smart medical platform pilot model at full scale

-Selected as excellent New Deal project for balanced regional growth in the public offering hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, CBfez secured KRW 3 billion in project budget.

- CBfez was selected as excellent New Deal project for balanced regional growth in a public offering (4.23~7.7) hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and secured KRW 3 billion in special subsidy taxes. The smart medical platform pilot model project will be launched with the formation of a consortium between CBfez, Osong Medical Innovation Foundation (Chairman Cha, Sang-hoon, hereinafter KBIO) and Health Connect Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim, Dong-seok). In this project, CBfez will be responsible for business planning, KBIO for R&D, and Health Connect Co., Ltd. for commercialization.

Health Connect Co., Ltd.: A joint venture between Seoul National University Hospital, KTB-NewLake (a private equity investment company for medical service providers entering overseas markets), and Invites Healthcare (SKT subsidiary) (33.01%)
The smart medical platform combines an ICT-based diagnostic device (smart band, smart patch) that can monitor patients on a real-time basis with a communication network and monitoring system, and it is the only real-time patient management system in Korea that has integrated cutting-edge digital technology and medical services into a platform.

*Smart Band: A wearable device with functions such as a clock, the measurement of body temperature and oxygen saturation, and GPS.

**Smart patch: A detachable patch-type device for the measurement of blood pressure and electrocardiogram

Having established the smart medical platform pilot model project plan in April last year, CBfez and Osong Medical Innovation Foundation (KBIO) have invested KRW 1.06 billion (KRW 700 from the do-office, KRW 360 million from private investment) in the development of ICT-based diagnostic devices and monitoring systems, and applied for a patent for a non-contact body temperature measurement function and KC (industrial product) certification for the use of the platform inside homes.

Prior to using the smart medical platform in hospitals, CBfez will conduct a clinical trial with dialysis patients at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital from September this year, and the smart bands and smart patches will be upgraded based on the results. CBfez then plans to conduct clinical trials for approval for general patients at Seoul National University Hospital and obtain final approval for smart bands, smart patches, and monitoring systems in 2022.

Meanwhile, inquiries about the smart medical platform are currently coming from hospitals in Busan/Sejong Smart City, Dubai and Kuwait, and domestic nursing hospitals and companies. CBfez plans to a hold business briefing session for manufacturers in Chungbuk-do on August 27 to select a production company to spur business promotion.
